The Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge (3rd Bosphorus Bridge) is a high rigidity hybrid suspension/cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 1,408m, and two side spans of 378m each, measured from the centerline of each tower to the defining axis of each anchorage. The bridge spans the Bosphorus between Asia and Europe without any piers or towers placed in the water. There are 17 hangers spaced at 24m on each side of the centerline of the bridge. For a distance of 156m, measured from the centerline on each side, seven (7) hangers purely suspend the deck and for a length of 228m, the other ten (10) hangers suspend the deck in a transition zone with the stiffening cable system. Stiffening cables supports the remaining length of 308m, measured to the centerline of the tower.

• Fatigue Analysis & Design of Cable Bands: To ensure compliance and fatigue capacity of the Cable Band Castings to fatigue loadings in accordance with Eurocode.
• Review of Fabrication Plans & Construction Support: BTC reviewed Fabrication and Quality Control Plans, and supervised construction throughout to ensure consistency with Design Specifications. The review by BTC during fabrication and construction included:

– Method Statements
– Inspection and Testing Plans
